Next drop — Saturday, September 12

Made by an
actual mom.

One pair of shorts. Cut and sewn by hand by Lesley Jolly in Oregon, 24 at a time, out of fabric with a story. Then they're gone.

What this is

We make one thing.

Most clothing brands make forty things badly. We make one thing properly, and my mother makes every single one of them.

One product

The Mom Shorts. High waist, deep pockets that actually hold a phone, a fit Lesley has re-cut eleven times. No second style until this one is perfect.

Fabric with a past

A 1970s bolt from an estate sale. Hemp woven in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Japanese cotton bought in 2019 and saved for the right thing. Every pair names its fabric.

One pair of hands

No factory, no contractor, no "small-batch partner." Lesley cuts, sews, finishes and packs each pair herself at a table in Oregon.

How a drop works

24 pairs. Then they're gone.

  1. We announce a date and a fabric. Three weeks out. You see the actual bolt before anything is cut.
  2. The list shops two hours early. Then it opens to everyone. Capped at 24 — the site will not sell a 25th pair.
  3. Lesley makes yours. Your shorts don't exist yet. You'll get photos of them being cut and sewn.
  4. They ship, usually early. We promise four weeks and aim for two or three.
Seal reading 24 made this drop

Twenty-four is not a marketing number. It's how many Lesley can make in six weeks without wrecking her shoulders.

1974 Towel

A bolt of thick cotton terry from a 1974 estate sale in Salem. Yes — it used to be towels. On purpose.

"I've been sewing since I was eleven. I just never charged anybody for it before."

Lesley Jolly has made clothes her whole life — for her kids, for neighbours, for anyone who asked. Her son finally talked her into selling them.
